BASIC SALARY: £40,000 – £50,000

LOCATION: North of England and Scotland
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Middlesborough, Sunderland, Hull, Tynside, Teesside, Durham, Northumberland, North and West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Humberside, Cumbria, Borders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Field Sales Engineer – Fastenings, Components to OEMs
- A fairly even split of time spent with a significant existing customer base and developing new business.
- The existing business will involve developing existing OEM business, but also supporting distributors through which 90% of sales go, this includes sharing information, dual visitation and general technical and commercial support.
- An important part of the role will be generating new business from marketing (website, exhibition etc) generating leads, the company’s CRM system / database and your own digging and market knowledge which nowadays relies quite a lot on LinkedIn activity.
- You will be focusing on non- automotive and aerospace general OEM and industrial markets dealing at all levels at customers from Design and Production Engineers up to senior Buyers and Procurement Managers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Field Sales Engineer – Fastenings, Components to OEMs
- Ideally, you will have a proven track of sales in fastenings, would consider other high volume or class components e.g. nuts, bolts, washers, bearings, seals, injection moulded components, hardware etc- to OEMs
- An engineering, ideally mechanical, background, experience, qualifications and/ or knowledge are essential.

Established in 1984 in the UK they have two sites, one manufacturing, a £10m+ annual turnover, 65 staff and a sales team of 3 Regional Sales Engineers reporting into a Sales Director as well as an aerospace specialist. They supply just about every major automotive and aerospace OEM worldwide, and tiered suppliers.
Manufacturing a wide range of bespoke and standard premium quality fasteners and other components, they are a byword for technical expertise, quality of product and after sales back up.
