Job Function: Sales The role: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key extension of SoftwareOne’s sales team; responsible for generating new and high-quality client prospects and pipeline. You will work directly with sales and marketing to support and deliver effective inbound and outbound initiatives such as phone calls, emailing, social media, events, and networking. This role will serve as an entry point, with the goal of being the training ground to grow into more customer-facing, outside sales roles. Core Accountabilities Generate new, high-quality sales qualified prospects. Meet all key performance metrics and goals on a weekly and monthly basis. Research companies of various sizes and verticals and identify key contacts; perform account intelligence as needed. Convert prospects into potential customers via telephone and email. Respond to sales leads from marketing generated activities and campaigns. Eagerly participate in your own personal development as well as contribute to team learning opportunities. Manage the CRM database. Understand market positioning and SoftwareOne’s value proposition. What we need to see from you: Relevant Experience: You have 6+ months' of sales, or lead generation experience and it is essential that you have worked within a technology company. Microsoft technology sales experience is an advantage, but not essential. General Experience: You have an internal motivation and drive to succeed in a goal-driven position and are willing to learn in a fast-paced sales environment. You embrace feedback and hold yourself accountable. You are well organised and able to manage your time effectively. You show an eagerness to attain technology certifications. You are confident and not afraid to pick up the phone and reach out to a cold contact. You are a hard worker with a strong sense of urgency. You are a team player and fun to work with. You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Technical Skills Familiarity with CRM systems (preferred, not essential).
