Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, the successful applicant will join a enthusiastic, vibrant and dynamic team working in an exciting but challenging industry.
Brief Description of Role
Contribute to the company’s ongoing success by creating competitive customer quotes in an efficient and accurate manner, helping BTL gain new and maintain existing business.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Responsible for one’s own, co-worker’s and stakeholder’s health and safety.
- Create and respond to requests for customer quotations, ensuring accuracy and most competitive route is selected
- Complete any assigned tender to the highest standards to put BTL in the best possible position to win and maintain business. Meet required deadlines, keep stakeholders up to date with progress and document all agreed actions, outcomes and lessons learned – utilise SWOT analysis document
- Ensure timely contribution towards the Sales & Procurement Development programme & BTL Condition Report
- When rates required for new customer quotations are missing, liaise with Procurement team to secure rates. If required and time allows, support with any ad hoc procurement tasks
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge E/D* (Essential/Desirable)
- Common sense / lateral thinker E
- Good understanding of our supplier network and business flows D
- Good organisation with attention to detail a must E
Experience
- Tank container / chemical industry experience > 1 year D
- Familiarisation of European Inter-Modal Network D
- System and Excel experience D
Competencies
- Effective communicator, both internally and externally E
- Ability to manage time and execute all tasks in prioritised structure E
- Pro-active approach to system management D

Salary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
