Your Mission
The Bids and Tenders Team play a key role in the successful delivery of the businesses growth strategy, providing support in the competitive process of bidding on individual customer requirements and for national Public Sector Framework Agreements, and corporate opportunities.
You will manage the end-to-end business process, engaging the sales team as required in preparing responses and proposals. Our Bid Coordinators are fundamental to the succinct and consistent presentation of our capability to deliver against the customers’ requirements and are essential in creating winning responses.
How you’ll fit in to the big picture ✨
You will work collaboratively with other revenue-generating teams to build on both our successes and failures to create winning themes and strategies alongside business partners and colleagues, whilst championing and embedding the bids and tenders process across the business. To achieve success on framework bids, there needs to be clear, concise messaging, and management of each tender.
What you’ll be doing
- Co-ordinate tender responses.
- Manage and oversee the progress of bid responses across the wider organisation and with bid writers.
- Collaborate with the necessary internal resource to gain the required information to complete a bid response, utilising Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools where possible and relevant.
- Lead kick offs and story boarding process meetings and co-ordinate these in collaboration with the team.
- Keeping accurate and up to date Management Information, informing various stakeholders across the company of Bid progress and success rate.
- Seek out new working practices that streamline the Bids Team function, improving its quality and efficiency.
- Educate and provide training within the Bids Team and to the wider Sales Teams, for queries relating to the bids process, Bid Team and public sector procurement.
What experience we think you’ll need
- Strong organisational skills that demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Drive and enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn
- Team player, capable of stepping up to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Broad command of English
- Competent knowledge of MS Office platform, including use of Word & Excel
- Good understanding of industry best practice and bid processes
- Proposal coordination/management experience
- APMP Foundation qualification attainment, or willingness to obtain
- Technical or IT Industry knowledge and experience in evaluating tender responses are advantageous
