Key Responsibilities
- Lead on identifying and engaging with employers within a specific geographical region, building the sales pipeline for the portfolio of BHSF products and services.
- Proactively undertaking business development with new customers.
- Engage and build trust with new customers creating strong future business relationships.
- Ensure monthly reporting and forecasting of the sales pipeline utilising the CRM system and ensure the CRM system is used to record all customer contact information and engagement.
- Identify and close sales across the full range of BHSF products and services, meeting the required sales targets.
- Putting the customer first, really understanding and communicating their requirements and working in a solution based, problem solving sales approach.
- Have good interpersonal skills, developing strong working relationships with both clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Work alongside our Bid and tenders’ team to successfully pitch and secure new contract opportunities, when required supporting them with content for proposals.
- Work in partnership with Key Account Managers, ensuring a smooth onboarding and handing over new customers to ensure they have a named KAM to continue the relationship management.
- Represent BHSF at regional and national conferences and events that drive awareness of our brand and products and engage future customers.
- Draft and submit proposals and quotes following initial pitches to customers outside of the bids and tender process.
- Ensure that Consumer Duty is embedded across the whole sales lifecycle.
- Maintains the highest standards of confidentiality when handling commercially sensitive and other sensitive or restricted documentation.
- Maintains courtesy, professionalism, and high standards of presentation in all communications with customers and potential customers.
- Performs all tasks and duties when required, providing flexibility and covering a team working environment.
- Complies with required obligations under the Company’s data protection, information security and other relevant policies, when handling personal data or special categories of sensitive data
- Operates within defined risk appetite levels, and within the context of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Risk Strategy, and all associated policies.
- All employees are responsible for ensuring the protection of personal data, as such you are required to actively engage with all requests relating to data protection and proactively ensure compliance with GDPR and the DPA when handling any personal, special category or criminal conviction data. You must report data incidents in-line with Company Policy. You must understand and comply with obligations under the Company’s data protection, information security, GDPR, DPA and FCA regulations and other relevant policies.
- Ensure compliance with the company health and safety rules and requirements, ensuring own safety and that of colleagues at all times; raising risks identified immediately and following all health and safety instructions.
- At all times, ensure that customers are put first in everything we do, following all policies and procedures, especially those relating to The Consumer Duty.
Knowledge and experience
- Significant sales experience within health and wellbeing and/or insurance.
- Evidence of consistently delivering against sales targets and delivering bottom line value.
- A clear understanding and experience of engaging with employers across a wide range of sectors.
- Ability to forge and build cross-functional relationships at all levels across businesses both internally and externally.
- Knowledge and experience of competitive tender processes, working with a bid and tender team to ensure successful contract wins.
- Commercially aware and can motivate yourself to succeed and achieve sales targets.
- Experience of drafting and submitting quotes and proposals to a wide range of industry sectors following successful initial engagement
