What you’ll be doing:


The prestige of the Ottolenghi name across the industry as well as our reputation for an accessible, fresh, yet innovative food offer, has meant that we have an organically operational ‘from site catering’ function.


The catering sales and business development manager’s role is to deliver substantial growth in the catering business. You will support our sites to deliver and grow the existing operation whilst establishing a new food catering division for Ottolenghi. This will require identifying, networking and building relationships with new customers, focusing on a B2B capacity. Ottolenghi is a creative environment where you will collaborate with colleagues to cultivate new opportunities for sales growth. You’ll need to continuously evolve the catering menus while maintaining exceptional standards.


Success in this role is deeply dependant on the capability to influence a live and relevant network of contacts. You’ll execute a solid business development plan, pave the way for new opportunities and collaborate across the business to deliver a commercially successful department.


What you’ll bring to the table:


Independent thinker-
you will own and grow the catering arm of Ottolenghi. Working autonomously and with an instinct for opportunities, you will have a well-planned approach to growing and capitalising on your network, and an excellent understanding of both private and business catering.


Networking wiz-
bringing a strong and established network, you will utilise your current connections to develop our corporate business whilst also proactively expanding on your prospective client list.


Collaborative communicator -
you will seek to build strong relationships with the wider Ottolenghi teams in order to deliver to Ottolenghi’s high standards and maximise commercial opportunities. You will be an open communicator and team player.


Self-motivator -
you will be able to set targets, propose budgets and manage resources effectively. Your approach to business development opportunities will be clear and strategic with a thorough understanding of the likely commercial outcome. You will have an informed understanding of margins and will be able to create profitable and sustainable new accounts. You will communicate strategic objectives with a clear focus on delivery and accountability
