Job description

You are a brand ambassador for Pierre Hermé Paris. You are responsible of the satisfaction of each of our customers.

It is important to understand, be familiar with and implement the sales/service techniques specified by the Sales Manager. A talent for salesmanship, an appreciation for gourmet pastry – to be shared with customers – and attentiveness to detail is also primordial.


MISSIONS & ACTIVITIES

Represent the Pierre Hermé Paris brand

  • Follow the company dress code.
  • Express yourself in a way that is consistent with the luxury positioning of the house.
  • Greet customers as specified in the house service standards.
  • Be perfectly familiar with Pierre Hermé Paris products.


Advise and serve customers

  • Offer a level of service consistent with the luxury positioning of the house.
  • Follow house rules regarding cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
  • Meet customer needs, detect potential customer needs and create customer wants.
  • Make customers aware of house sales/marketing initiatives.
  • Secure customer loyalty.


Boutique and product management

  • Ensure that products and packaging materials are properly stored and organised.
  • Meet all house standards pertaining to products presentation at the boutiques.
  • Arrange products in the product showcases following FIFO practices.
  • Anticipate and reorder as needed to ensure a well-stocked display.
  • Minimise wastage of both food and non-food products.
  • Verify that the boutique is cleaned following house recommendations (front and back of the house).


Teamwork

  • Verify that objectives (qualitative and quantitative) are met.
  • Ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere at the boutique.


Manage the till and implement cash receipt procedures

  • Become perfectly familiar with managing the till and cash receipt procedures.


Communication

  • Review customer complaints with the Assistant Manager. Encourage customers to provide feedback, as part of our drive to improve greeting/service practices.
  • Inform the Boutique Manager of customer feedback, comments about products or issues to be addressed.
  • Facilitate the induction and orientation of new staff.
  • Comply with all rules and instructions implemented within Pierre Hermé Paris (e.g. the house communication guidelines, steps for making a sale, and service standards)
