The Structured and Alternative Credit Sales team is responsible for client coverage across a broad range of credit products with a focus on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), Private Credit Distribution and Alternative & Illiquid opportunities.
Job Summary:
As an Associate in Structured Credit and Alternative Investment Sales, you will initially assist the sales team in all aspects of client servicing, trade execution, trade booking and other operational functions. Once you display a sufficient product understanding, you will be responsible with the day-to-day execution of all in-scope products. You will transact in these products across a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and corporations). You will need to demonstrate proficiency in identifying market drivers and appropriateness. Alternative Investments represents a broad range of products. As an Associate you must show a high degree of interest in learning about other products while developing a cross-product skill set. The ideal candidate must have a strong intellectual curiosity, a high degree of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to perform well under high pressure situations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clients with market intelligence and general client servicing
- Assist with the execution of client orders
- Trade execution processes (including trade booking, new issue and secondary order taking)
- General sales back-up across the desk
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Prior working experience in sales and marketing front office role preferred
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple terms and actionable steps
- Superior attention to detail an ability to multi-task
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Product knowledge – have expertise with fixed income products
- Quantitative skills - must be comfortable with Excel and ability to understand complex financial instruments
