Position Overview:
The Herberger Theater Center is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Box Office Sales Associate. As a Box Office Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ticket purchasing experience for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to assist guests with ticket sales, answer inquiries, and provide information about upcoming shows and events. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the performing arts.

Responsibilities:
1. Ticket Sales and Guest Service:
  • Provide excellent guest service, both in person and over the phone.
  • Assist guests in selecting and purchasing tickets for performances, events, and subscriptions.
  • Provide accurate information on show schedules, ticket availability, seating options, and pricing.
  • Process ticket sales efficiently and accurately using the theater's ticketing system.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions securely and professionally.
2. Knowledge and Information:
  • Stay up-to-date with the theater's current and upcoming performances, events, and promotions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ticketing policies, procedures, and pricing.
  • Provide accurate information about show content, seating arrangements, accessibility options, and any special requirements.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred).
  • Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a ticket sales or box office environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computerized ticketing systems or similar software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on theater events and performances.
  • Passion for the performing arts and a desire to contribute to the vibrant cultural scene of the Herberger Theater Center.

Starting Rate: $16/hr
