We have an exciting opportunity for Retail Assistants based at our Bristol store across various functions. You'll be joining a close-knit team passionate about life at home!

In the IKEA world, we call this role a Sales Co-Worker.

WHAT WE OFFER

• We operate 7 days a week, and our busiest times where we meet our many customers is usually in the evenings and at the weekends. There is an expectation that you are flexible and able to work at these times.

OUR OPPORTUNITIES

• Home Decoration Department - Market Hall (39-hours a week).
• Living Rooms Department - Showroom (20-hours a week).
• Cookshop Department (20-hours a week): Ordinarily five four-hour shifts a week, to be discussed at interview - Market Hall.
• Children's Department - Showroom (16-hours a week).

WHO YOU ARE
You are confident in approaching customers, treating them in a polite and friendly manner. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a motivated mindset. You also enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. For this role, it is important that you are passionate about home furnishings and care about good customer service. In IKEA, we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.
• You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented, and easy to shop.
• You have a good understanding of basic sales principles.
• You build loyalty by ensuring customers have an exceptional shopping experience.
