With 6 stores in Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and our first European store in Madrid, Designer Exchange is expanding to meet the demands of our valued clientele.Created with admiration for designer handbags and a passion for sustainability, Designer Exchange aims to revolutionise the previously owned luxury industry. Birmingham Store - Primarily Buying, Selling and Exchanging Leather goods, Accessories, Clothing and Shoes
The purpose of the role is:
- Sell and advise customers along with authenticating goods (training provided)
- Handle payments in cash, card and voucher
- Provide excellent customer service both in store and online
- Assist customers with booking in stock to sell to us
- Assist customers selling their items to Designer Exchange
- Pack and process ecommerce orders
- Take social media pictures to be used on the companies social media
- Take website photographs to be used on the website for ecommerce
- Write descriptions for ecommerce products
- Work within a team towards operations and commercial objectives
- Assist management to ensure sales and buys targets are met weekly
- Follow the delegation of management
- Ensure the store is maintained
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a passion for the resale industry
- Enthusiasm for fashion and follows current trends
- Have an interest in the designer items that we buy and sell
- Be trained in a basic retail environment
- Be able to use a till system, gmail, google drive and google sites
- Be a fast learner who can follow delegated tasks
- Able to learn basic pricing techniques
- Pay close attention to detail and accuracy
- Have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Be open to training and development
- Proactive with an eagerness to learn, develop and work
- Existing retail experience is preferred within the luxury industry
Full time contract: 37.5 hours
Pay : £10 per hour
Monthly Performance Pay : Uncapped
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: £11.00 per hour
