As an Analyst on the Corporate Commodity Sales desk, you will be responsible for the day-to-day client interaction and execution of commodity trades. You will transact with a broad range of clients (Commodity Producers, Consumers, Refineries, Tradehouses, etc). Our global Corporate Commodity Sales team has locations across Singapore, London, Paris, New York, Houston and sits within the overall Corporate & Private Side Sales organisation.
Job responsibilities
You will collaborate with our partners in trading and research to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates, assisting with execution of client orders and providing clients with solutions to a variety of working capital requests. You will be responsible for the trade execution process including trade booking, order taking and general sales back-up across the desk.
You will have an opportunity to demonstrate proficiency in identifying market drivers and market lingo while showing a high degree of interest in learning about other markets and products while developing a cross-product skillset. You will be expected to bring an impeccable work ethic, intellectual curiosity, a high degree of organi s ation and attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with the appropriate degree of urgency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- An interest in macro and micro movers of financial and commodity markets
- Prior working experience in sales and marketing front office role
- Great oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple terms and actionable steps
- Quantitative skills - you are comfortable with Excel and able to quickly come up to speed quickly on various models to price derivatives
- Excellent attention to detail
- Great presentation skills and understanding of the sales process
This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
