Since 2004 after the initial opening of its first Duty Free store in Belfast International Airport they rapidly expanded throughout the UK & Ireland and now operate 21 stores across 8 airports and 8 ferries.

Discover is a scottish gift store situated in the departure lounge of Aberdeen Airport; The Discover Store is currently looking for energetic, enthusiastic new team members to join the team that have a passion for Scotland and all things Scottish. From local fresh produce to Harris Tweed, Whisky and souvenirs, as part of the team you will be on hand to give the best of service with a knowledgeable, friendly attitude and best of all, represent everything that is great about Scotland!
As a Sales Advisor, you will be involved in all aspects of our busy store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
100% Customer Focus
- Greeting customers with a friendly smile
- Helping customers with product selection
- Offering additional link sales
- Ensuring all customers receive excellent customer service every-time
- End to end customer service including till operations
Stock Management
- Ensuring the store is fully replenished
- Goods receiving duties
- Stocktaking and inventory compliance
- Merchandising
- Pricing
Housekeeping/Health & Safety
- Keeping the store well presented at all time
- Ensure the safe usage of all the cleaning materials
- Ensuring store and stock rooms are kept tidy in line with H & S
- Being aware of any potential hazards on the shop floor, stock room and reporting them to the Manager/supervisors
Security
- Ensuring security of stock on shop floor and compliance of till inventory
- Responsible for the shop floor security when on shift
- Awareness of potential security risks out with store and part of the greater airport community

A five-year working and personal reference, along with a Criminal Reference Check, will be required for this role as the store is beyond security, in an “airside location”. This will be discussed in more detail at interview stage or please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
