What are we looking for?

Candidates should be 18 years or over before the start date and have the right to live and work in England

For the apprenticeship program we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2023 or later
  • 5 x GCSE’s at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • You will also need to have 2 A Levels to be eligible

Please note, you will be required to evidence your qualifications. If you have gained qualifications outside of the UK you will be required to evidence that they are equivalent.

In this Apprenticeship you will learn analyzing customer needs and creating solutions by selecting appropriate product(s) or service(s), linking their features and benefits to the customer’s requirements. You will also develop customer relationships by establishing rapport and building trust and confidence with demonstration of detailed product knowledge, competitor knowledge and an understanding of the market in which your business operates in, and by ensuring a positive customer experience. During the apprenticeship you’ll develop your understanding of sales processes, programs and products to deliver results that help surprise and delight our Selling Partners. You’ll work within a variety of program-specific teams, interact directly with Selling Partners on a regular basis and contribute to project work that supports our mission to become the world’s most customer-centric company. As a Sales/Account Manager apprentice at Amazon, you’ll gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills. You will work towards the Level 6 Degree Sales apprenticeship standard and also work toward a BSc in Business-to-Business Sales You will build your skills over a 36-month period, starting in September, which will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of; • Classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge • On-the-job training at your Amazon base location • Online learning • Mentoring from our experienced team members Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data and problem-solving techniques, teamwork, communication, presentation skills and document writing. You will work alongside the team, supporting with day to day tasks learning how Amazon works and delivers for its customers. As your knowledge and skills increase over the duration of the scheme you will have opportunities to be part of and lead projects, making a difference for customers. The on the job experience will help you build a portfolio of evidence towards your apprenticeship. You will be given dedicated time to focus on your studies to help you stay on track and work towards successfully completing your qualification(s). Once you have successfully completed your Sales/Account Manager Apprenticeship you will be able to apply for relevant roles across the business. You will attend a number of workshops across the duration of the apprenticeship, workshops will be a mix of face to face and online delivery by a training provider. You will also attend internal workshops/ trainings to support you in developing Amazon related skills and knowledge. Depending on the scheme and location of the training provider you may be required to travel and stay overnight. (costs will be supported by Amazon) Key job responsibilities You will be combining working in your assigned team as a Sales/Account Manager Apprentice whilst continuing your studies to achieve your qualification. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies. About the team Amazon is the perfect place to start your career in Sales and Account Management. Apprentices on this program Sales/Account Manager apprentices can work across a number of tech and no tech teams in Amazon working with program managers where they help deliver big or small projects successfully. You’ll join one of our progressive, hands-on and customer obsessed teams who deliver a world-class level of service to Amazon’s Selling Partners.

To get to know you beyond your CV, the second stage of the process will be our online evaluations. You’ll complete 3 video questions to tell us more about you, your motivations and any transferrable skills you have. If you’re applying for a technology based apprenticeship you may also be asked to complete a short technical/coding test. As a last step, we will invite successful candidates to an assessment center where you’ll get the chance to meet the recruitment team and the hiring teams that align to the programme you have applied for. As part of the assessment centre, you may be expected to take part in a group exercise, a presentation, 1 to 1 interviews and other tasks relating to your chosen programme.
