Opportunity to join Oxford Private Care through our sponsorship program. We are looking for experienced social care workers looking to change sponsors.
We are experienced in recruiting, training and supporting international workers to settle in the UK.
Essential requirements
We will only consider applicants for transfer who are in the UK, can drive and hold a full UK licence*, have their own vehicle and are willing to relocate to the South Oxfordshire area. You must be able to meet the UK visa application requirements upon application.
( * – or an international licence which you can exchange for a UK licence or you have a UK driving test booked)
Job Role
The Community Carer role combines both the delivery of personal and domestic care duties with the objective of helping our Clients to take care of themselves at home and wherever possible, to restore them to full independence.
Many of our Clients are elderly and may have one or more of the following: learning disability, mental health issues, physical disability, sensory impairment, dementia including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease etc
The salary for the Community Carer role is £1,700.40 for 156 hours work in a four-week period (£22,105.20 per annum split into 13 payments) this is subject to statutory. An hourly rate of £10.90
Travel expense is paid at 45p per mile
Community Carers mainly work shifts. There are two shifts each day, 14 shifts a week in total. The morning shift is from 7:00 to 14:00 and the evening shift from 15:30 to 22:00 although it is sometimes necessary to deliver care outside of these shifts for example overnight
On commencement of employment and after initial training Community Carers are allocated a specific pattern of between 8 to 12 shifts that they are required to deliver over a two-week period. With a minimum two rest days in the two-week period

Essential:
- Full International Driving Licence
- Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
- Ability to purchase own vehicle for work
- IELTS level 6 qualification obtained from an approved examination board
- Evidence to support your visa application which includes
- Evidence ofPersonal savings to support yourself
- Tuberculosis test result if you are from a listed country
- Criminal record certificate
- Blank page in passport for your visa
- Certified translation for any documents not in English or Welsh
- Ability to work in a variety of different locations around Oxfordshire
- Able to work alone in a client’s home
- Flexible attitude hours to suit work shifts
- Good time management and organisational skills
