Goals and Responsibilities
Reporting into the Service Management Office Director the Major Incident Manager will be responsible for:
  • Day-to-day coordination of all Major Incidents impacting Kantar’s business and with the aim of minimizing disruption
  • Working closely with Kantar’s internal technology teams, strategic out-sourcing partner and other 3rd party suppliers to facilitate and direct Incident resolution activity
  • Ensuring high quality communications are delivered often within tight timescales
  • Ownership of the Post Incident Review process ensuring they are carried out in a timely manner, outputs communicated, and any residual recovery activity is completed
  • Developing Incident Management metrics reports
  • Implementing a framework and fostering a culture of Continual Service Improvement to ensure the processes and tooling continue to mature
  • Promote and reinforce adherence to the process and policies associated with the Incident and Major Incident management processes
  • Matrix management of up to 4 junior Incident managers
  • Develop of communications processes, plans and templates to ensure clear and consistent communication to key stakeholders
Key Skills
  • Shown experience of developing and delivering Major Incident and Incident management processes
  • Sound knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change management practices and related processes
  • Shown experience in responding to and handling/coordinating critical technology incidents including across global/regional, cross-function groups
  • Experience liaising / working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident to communicate with stakeholders to senior level
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Self-organized and disciplined. Ability to adapt to varying stakeholder requirements
  • ITIL Practitioner Level – In one or more relevant ITIL disciplines - Preferred
  • ITIL Expert Level – Preferred
  • ServiceNow experience – Mandatory
  • SIAM awareness
