Safeguarding Officer

We are looking for a new Safeguarding Officer to join the Branch & Volunteer Services team in the UK. In this crucial role you’ll help drive forwards our safeguarding practices through the provision of expert advice, guidance and support to volunteers and staff, in relation to answering queries, undertaking risk assessments and utilising channels to identify and escalate action in line with safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practice.
We are a fun, friendly and supportive team whose focus is on delivering excellence to our callers and volunteers. The team sits within the operations directorate and is split into Safeguarding and Caller Support, Quality and Service Improvement and Programmes and Partnerships. Between us and the senior volunteers that work alongside us we support 201 branches, over 20,000 amazing volunteers across the UK and ROI whilst ensuring we provide a safe and effective service to our callers.

- Full time, with flexible working practices
- £32,000 to £33,000 per annum
- Hybrid working – This role is ‘linked’ to our central office (Ewell), with the choice to work from the office or from home to meet your needs
