Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic well motivated individual to join the DHU safeguarding team for a fixed-term, 12-month contract as a Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner. The postholder will work within both Childrens and Adults safeguarding arena, ensuring that vulnerable children and adults at risk engaging with DHU are identified and safeguarded. The contracted hours are 30 hours per week and the base may be negotiated dependent on your home address.
The post includes a variety of activities including preparing and delivering training to DHU staff, assisting the Child and Adult Safeguarding leads in meeting the corporate safeguarding responsibilities, in addition to undertaking audit, quality assurance, report writing etc. They will be required to liaise with Social Care and Child Health Services and other organisations and support staff in DHU with safeguarding issues.
The DHU safeguarding team forms part of the overall corporate governance structure and covers all contracts held by DHU which adds to the interest and variety of the role.
