Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Adults Officer to join a growing team who are motivated and committed to Safeguarding Adults.
Responsibilities are varied and will require a flexible approach from someone able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Duties include:
- Triaging daily safeguarding referrals by applying safeguarding thresholds in accordance with Sunderland multi-agency safeguarding procedures.
- Undertaking Section 42 and other Safeguarding enquiries
- Chairing Safeguarding Adults meetings and working with colleagues internally and externally.
- Supporting the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub
You should have a good understanding and working knowledge of the Safeguarding Adults agenda, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and other relevant legal frameworks.
