Supportive Action for Families in Ealing (SAFE) is an area-based, multi-disciplinary service at the forefront of our early intervention offer. SAFE provides a range of interventions for children 0-18 and their families, split in to 2 areas EAST and WEST. SAFE brings together professionals from social work, domestic violence, education, parenting and mental health backgrounds; offering a range of preventative and early help interventions to ensure better long-term outcomes for families. The service forms an important part of Ealing’s Brighter Futures model with the aim to support and transform practice across children’s services.
SAFE Ealing Parenting Service (EPS) offers Parenting Support Programmes and targeted parenting workshops for parents and carers who live in the London Borough of Ealing and have children between 5-18 years of age. As well as working alongside parents and carers we also work in partnership with other teams within Ealing and external agencies such as schools and health.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant psychologist to join our service, primarily based within the EPS team, and if required supporting the SAFE team. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to support the team and families in Ealing. You will work alongside parenting facilitators, social workers and managers. You will be responsible for supporting the team in facilitating parenting programs and workshops from a child and mental health perspective. You will assist in clinically related administration, conduct of service evaluation and audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and research project work. You will maintain a close working relationship with the SAFE Mental Health Support pod.
