WMT Troncmaster Services are the leading provider of advice, support and management services to the UK hospitality industry concerning the treatment of tips, gratuities, and service charges through the use of fair, ethical and transparent tronc systems.

We are privileged to manage the tronc systems day to day of over 850 businesses employing in excess of 55,000 employees across the whole of the UK hospitality sector including many well known groups, restaurants and chefs who between them hold over 30 Michelin stars.

As the leading outsourced Troncmaster provider in the sector we aim to provide the very best in user experience delivering a seamless and efficient service to clients and a high degree of visibility to their employees. Our services are in high demand which we expect to increase with the forthcoming Government legislation surrounding tipping.

During 2022 we have worked closely with partners to develop a unique SAAS solution, TroncBox, to be rolled out to both new and existing clients from the start of Q2 2023. As a part of this rollout a unique opportunity has now arisen to work with our clients helping them to migrate to, and get the best from, the new software.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible, alongside other members of the team, for training clients & their employees in the use and functionality of the new TroncBox software. You will handle day-to-day queries and be responsible for hosting and leading online tutorials and demonstrations, as well as assisting in the scheduling of new client migration.

You will be based in our office located close to the main rail station in St Albans. The role is predominantly office based, although the scope for hybrid working exists. Occasionally you may need to visit our clients, mainly in central London. The role is permanent and full time based on 37.5 hours per week and a 9am to 5.30pm working day including an hour’s lunch break.

About You
Your background may be within hospitality, but you will have a keen interest and passion for the systems, technology and processes which underpin and support a successful hospitality business. You will understand the challenges that hospitality staff (particularly managers) face and have a passion for helping them and delivering excellent customer service.

Experience of delivering and rolling out training programmes, especially in IT, is desirable, and excellent communication and organisational skills are a must.

Previous involvement in tips, gratuities, service charge and tronc is not essential but will be a definite advantage.

Qualifications & Experience
You will be educated, as a minimum, to A-level standard with 3 or more passes at grades A to C.

Candidates with a degree, or with qualifications in any one or more of English, Information Technology, Business Studies, or Economics will also be at an advantage.

This role may suit someone currently working within the hospitality sector, with a good knowledge of systems who is looking to move into an office role.
