We are looking for an officer who understands the barriers rough sleepers may face and are dedicated in finding unique ways to break them down. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be committed to working in partnership. They must be able to lead a small group of officers to achieve successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- To be the lead officer in ensuring rough sleepers are supported when they move into accommodation – this includes temporary, move on, supported, private rented sector as well as social housing.
- To co-ordinate Severe Weather Emergency Provision, ensuring that adequate units are delivered and that there is co-ordination with partner agencies.
- To support the Rough Sleeper Team Leader in attending meetings, especially in relation to rough sleepers who are accommodated.
- To monitor rough sleeper numbers in accommodation, hold frequent review meetings with staff to ensure that all rough sleepers have a clear street to home pathway and any barriers are unblocked.
