Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in this well established team within the orthopaedic rehab services which covers both in and outpatient service. You will have 9 monthly rotations in Hand therapy and Orthopaedics. The outpatient service receives referrals from both the Rheumatology and Orthopaedic consultant clinic.
This post is an opportunity to contribute to the development of new ways of working based on current evidence based, alongside the physiotherapist and the MDT team to support the service. We aim to provide quality access and service user experience to promote better care and treatment for service users to improve the health and well-being of our residents.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work alongside a clinical specialist developing clinical skills, especially practical splinting in a wide range of orthopaedics and hand therapy conditions and upper limb rehabilitation with physiotherapists, and MDT.
This is a permanent post working 37.5 hours a week and the successful candidate will need to be part of the 7 day service we provide which will includes weekend working.
We will consider a band 5 with one year's experience to develop into a band 6 once competencies have been achieved.
