Job description
An exciting opportunity has come up for qualified diagnostic radiographers to join the Imaging team at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Radiographers who enjoy the challenges a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) will offer within a friendly multidisciplinary team in a central London location.
St Mary’s Hospital is one of four MTC’s in the London region with a dedicated Acute Imaging Centre containing a newly installed CT scanner, MRI Scanner and a separate Paediatric A&E.
This post is a Imaging and MRI Rotational post, which means one month you will be working in Imaging and one month you will be working in MRI.
The Band 6 role will offer the opportunity to build and extend on your clinical expertise and also develop your training and leadership skills in a supportive environment with exposure to cutting edge developments in Radiology.
Education and training are key elements of the department and there will be an expectation to teach radiography students from a number of London Universities.
The Imaging Department at St Mary’s Hospital performs a comprehensive range of procedures over all modalities. Being flexible and innovative in your ways of working will be fundamental to your role and good communication skills are essential.
- To assist in the provision of an efficient 24 hour Imaging
- To work as part of a professional radiographic team providing a high quality diagnostic and therapeutic
- To maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to patients.
- To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.
- To maintain a safe working environment within the department
