ROOFING AND CLADDING PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Southampton
Salary: Salary and benefits negotiable depending on experience.
Gemini Roofing and Cladding are looking for a full-time project manager that will work closely with our contracts manager in allocating resources, estimating, tendering, planning budgets, setting standards, assessing risk and monitoring deliverables.
The candidate will need to have the following experience and previous experience of working in the industrial and commercial roofing and cladding field.
· Contracts Administration
· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Comfort in both a team and leadership role
· Knowledge of national and local laws and codes
· Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
· Ability to multitask, prioritise, and efficiently manage time
· Accurate, precise, and detail-oriented
Responsible for:
· Defining the scope of a project, setting goals, objectives, timelines, key milestones, performance metrics and strategies
· Planning budget and allocating resources necessary for a project's successful implementation
· Managing project teams, assigning tasks and setting standards for team members
· Evaluating performance and monitoring progress to set goals and ensure compliance and standards
· Assessing risks and providing innovative solutions to ensure a project completes on time
· Creating and maintaining a comprehensive documentation process for all facets of a project's execution
· Communicating with clients on project goals, deliverables, timelines and progress
Essential Skills:
Effective communication
Coordinating team members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress require practical communication skills. Also, to relay necessary information to clients within the project. Hence, written, verbal, presentation and listening skills are performance characteristics are required.
Leadership
Leadership skills are essential to coordinate and motivate team members and provide direction for each activity. Leadership skills for project managers start with impeccable self-management. This entails punctuality, vision and the ability to make tough decisions.
Risk management
Assessing and managing risks and anticipating uncertainties are some of the key skills required. Before a project start date, it is vital to be able to anticipate challenges that may hinder its completion according to schedule. Then, plan for such problems and consider all possibilities to overcome them.
Organisation
Answering critical questions about a project. Having first-hand knowledge about all tasks and who is responsible for them. Being able to handle multiple tasks, processes and people simultaneously, keeping things in perspective and ensuring a full understanding of all aspects of the project.
Resourcefulness
The role will require the candidate to meet deadlines and complete a project to meet set standards. To use available resources to achieve this goal. As a project progresses and issues arise, to keep the outcome in mind and work within the project's limitations to deliver a quality and timely product.
Interpersonal skills
Managing different team members, working with subcontractors and communicating with clients. The role requires the candidate to work in a lively work environment, manage consensus and resolve conflicts.
Preferred skills:
· The ability to develop the right technical skills, form strategies and processes to deliver excellent projects.
· Develop the right mix of team building and effective verbal and written communication skills to help Gemini succeed in fast-paced work environments.
· Stay updated on trends within the industry and profession. Improve knowledge base to help Gemini develop authority within the roofing and cladding industry and improve our efficiency by staying up to date with the latest standards and best practices.
· Project management professional certification.
· Be able to use tech tools and software applications to help Gemini stay organised and effectively coordinate their teams.
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
