We’re looking for a Road Lighting Design Technician to join our Highways team. Location: Nationwide, this is an agile role where you will be based out of a Kier local office with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: £18K – £24K + 26 days of annual leave + benefits
Responsibilities
As a Road Lighting Design Technician, you will undertake services within an engineering environment such as scheme investigations, lighting inspections, data collection and analysis and preparing reports and identification of repair options.
Your day to day will include:
- Preparing specifications and drawings for repair schemes and works/construction inspection and supervision to progress scheme design, development and construction
- Prepare technical designs in accordance with approved design procedures and systems
- Prepare drawings, documents and use specialist software such as AutoCAD
Who are we looking for?
This role of Road Lighting Design Technician is great for you if:
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence
- Have an award of or training towards HNC/HND or Degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline
- Some specialist knowledge of the road lighting design discipline gained through training or qualifications and experience
- Knowledge of relevant design software and standards and proficient in the production of engineering drawings using AutoCAD
