Clerical Officer
20 hrs/wk
Band 2 (£23,362 - 25,368)
We currently have a vacancy for a Clerical Officer post primarily within our Acute Medical Initial Assessment Unit (AMIA), Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and may also be required at times to help other departments if required.
The role of the Clerical Officer is to ensure that paperwork is scanned to the patient’s electronic record or filed in the paper case notes if required. Collation of paperwork for patients is key in the patient pathway once discharged from hospital and the clerical officer will work alongside the medical secretaries in supporting them. AMIA have urgent access clinics with paperwork requiring to be uploaded daily. AMIA also have a high volume of admissions and turnaround of patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our service. This can be a demanding role with a high volume workload. The post holder should be able to work autonomously.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of PMS and previous experience within a hospital environment, however training can be given.
