Job Title Data Quality Manager – Credit Risk Models

You will be joining the Credit Change Team which is aligned to Chief Risk Office (CRO) Credit Risk Management and part of Group Chief Operating Office (COO).
The role is required to set up the team responsible for data quality management and remediation of data used in credit risk model development and calibration. Key credit risk models include probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD) and credit conversion factor (CCF) using data reference data, transaction data, default recoveries, collateral/guarantee data, credit limit data and party data.
You will have a key role on the credit model data quality management, analysis, and remediation. Working to set up a new data quality management function including operating model, quality controls, remediation processes, driving investigations, analysis and changes across Deutsche Bank to remediate root causes.

Your key responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team who are responsible for developing the controls for assessing data captured for use in PD, LGD and CCF model development and calibration
- Define the data quality framework for model development and calibration data
- Analysis of data quality issues identified during model development; investigation and root cause analysis; leading to initiation and execution of data remediation
- Support the calculation of model Margin of Conservatism calculations
- Manage data quality and remediation activities, including default cashflow validation, risk driver completeness, ensure linkage of transactions and facilities to defaulted counterparties
Your skills and experience
- Knowledge of credit risk in terms of exposure, limits, risk mitigants and risk metrics
- Good understanding of banking and trading products
- Good understanding of data processes and controls from a Risk, Finance, Treasury or Operations function
- Strong data controls and analysis background, with good understanding of counterparty data, reference data, limits, and exposures
- Strong Excel skills, experience/ understanding of SQL and Python an advantage
