Duties

As a Supervisory Operations Research Analyst (Enterprise Risk Management Manager), you will:

  • Serve as the Enterprise Risk Management Manager and as a member of the CAR management team with responsibility for developing, implementing and evaluating all program and policies to ensure the timely delivery of products and programs in support of Bonneville's strategic business objectives.
  • Exercise delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work and providing similar oversight of contractors when appropriate.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
  • Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates and by contractors.
  • Develop performance standards. Evaluate the work performance of subordinates. Assure reasonable equity of performance standards and rating techniques among subordinates, and assure comparable equity in the assessment by subordinates of the adequacy of contractor work.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT

Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience is defined as: 1) establishing an enterprise risk management framework to effectively manage a full range of organizational-wide risks (i.e., leadership, planning, and oversight); 2) determining methods to solve complex enterprise-level challenges utilizing qualitative or quantitative techniques (i.e., root cause analysis, decision modelling, scenario analysis, etc.); and 3) integrating enterprise risk management information and processes (i.e., operations, business processes, etc.) across the organization.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
