This is an opportunity for a motivated associate that excels in a collaborative, data rich, technical, and customer focused environment. This role is within Trane’s Digital Solutions organization, which has a unique feel of a startup but also the understanding of how to scale to large production environments.
This role is responsible for creating actionable insights from a variety of data sources and sharing those findings through collaboration with local office team members as well as directly to customers. This role will leverage your technical skills to perform root cause analysis of energy and building operational data to derive energy usage analysis and HVAC optimizations. You will then use your communications skills to coach team members on your findings, the importance and impact of the discoveries to the customers’ business so the suggested service actions can be taken.
This position has been designated as Remote and work will be performed anywhere within a 3-hour time difference of US Eastern Time.
Responsibilities
- Analyze building data for opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Collaborate with field offices on findings & service opportunities
- Utilize data and analytics to verify implemented energy conservation measures, and propose enhancements/modifications to improve functionality
- Assess facility utility bills and provide insights for potential impacts due to rate structure modifications, demand management strategies, and energy consumption reduction opportunities
- Analyze sustainability impacts of Energy Conservation Measures and hold internal and external conversations around greenhouse gas metrics
- Participate in customer consultations with local field office associates
- Coach offices and customers as to the impacts and drivers to improve a building’s environment
- Collaborate with development teams on new functionality
- Utilize an array of Trane’s energy analysis tools, interpret and communicate the results (independently and as a team) to a wide audience
- Utilize existing project management tools and propose process and tool improvements
- Ability to travel independently (<20% travel required)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a Related Field of Study plus 3-5 years of work experience in commercial HVAC, facilities engineering, energy manager or equivalent HVAC field or 7-10 years of work experience in commercial HVAC, facilities engineering, energy manager or equivalent HVAC field
- 3-5 years of work experience in commercial HVAC, facilities engineering, energy manager or equivalent HVAC field
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals
- Ability to learn new technical skills quickly, and seek out knowledge to become proficient in an ever evolving field
- Ability to analyze utility bill data for commercial facilities and understand the implications of changing energy use on overall utility cost
- Collaborative team player with process improvement mind set
- High proficiency in use of office computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
Base Pay Range: $92,000 – 121,800/year
Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
