Job description
The post holder will be responsible for:
The day to day organisation and management of the on-treatment review clinics in line with working practices as agreed by the Radiotherapy Service Manager
Ensuring a patient centred service is maintained and working in close liaison with medical and nursing staff and other disciplines as appropriate.
To provide a holistic approach to the emotional, practical, social and information needs of radiotherapy patients, through holistic needs assessments and referring to appropriate support services/resources as required.
The training and supervision of all staff and students in the treatment review specialism
Development of training programme for radiotherapy skin care used by multidisciplinary staff
Correct use of software to generate treatment care pathways.
Leading a multidisciplinary team and be involved in the total care of patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment
Prescribe appropriate medication when necessary to treat or elevate radiotherapy side effects.
