Revenues Recovery Assistant
£26,845 - £29,439 per annum

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and capable team player to the above post, to assist/support the Senior Revenues Recovery Officer in Revenues operations.
You will be required to review accounts and decide upon the most appropriate methods of debt recovery, while providing informed advice and guidance on policy and procedures, and rules and regulations to the public or other members of staff. You will liaise directly with customers/public to deal with their requests, concerns or queries. You will also liaise with internal and external services in connection with the collection of Revenues Income, for example Enforcement Agents, Benefits Agency, Employers, CAB, while meeting income management service standards.
The successful candidate will assist with financial inclusion and ensure that income is maximized to the council and the customer by ensuring a robust approach to collection, enforcement, and arrears prevention including rent collection arrears.
While experience in this field is preferential, it is not essential.
You will have a minimum of 3 GCSEs grade A-C, or equivalent and be I.T. literate.
This is a home working contract, and the majority of duties will be carried out at home, however, employees will be contractually required to attend site on two days per month for team meetings, 121 meetings, etc. Employees may also be required to attend a site for meetings, collaborative work or to undertake work related activities. Site attendance will constitute no more than 40% of working time and includes the contractual 2 days per month.
