More information is available on our Career site at Job Details Responsibilities include: Assisting Rent Officers with all court administration work to progress recovery action as required. Engaging with Rent Officers, Sheriff Officers, Legal Services, Housing Benefits, DWP and Fife Council's Universal Credit Team. Implement legislation, guidance, and procedures to correctly update relevant court paperwork. Taking a proactive approach to managing workloads engaging with Rent officers and Legal Services, to ensure cases calling at court, do so with paperwork completed to a high level of accuracy and that timescales are met. Other tasks associated with the collection of rent as delegated by Rent Lead officer. Administration tasks to support Rent Officers, including procurement, completing benefit applications with tenants. A link to the role profile is included at the bottom of the advert. The Person We are looking for someone with experience in debt collection, preferably with a local authority background and with good communications skills, ability to work as a team and on their own. Knowledge of DWP benefits would be advantageous along with experience of working with the public. You should also be confident using IT applications e.g MS Word and Excel. Educated to SCQF level 5 which includes National 5 or SVQ level 2 or Standard Grades at Credit level or equivalent in a business /customer service background You will be required to obtain a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership or Disclosure Check for this role.
