Salesforce is seeking a seasoned and transformational Chief Revenue Officer to lead our global Tableau sales org and to serve as a key member and business leader in the Tableau ecosystem. This role will lead our Tableau global sales teams (AMER, APAC, EMEA) as well as our Sales Engineering and Partner organizations. They will also be accountable for the distribution success of Tableau globally, including Public Sector, Japan, and Pinnacle accounts. This will require sound partnership with cross functional teams in Product, Enablement, Marketing, Customer Success Group, and other organizations.

The Tableau CRO will be responsible for growing top-line revenues and driving new business through inspirational sales leadership and management and the implementation of scalable, repeatable, structured systems/processes. This leader will embrace the operational challenges of leading a high-growth business unit at significant scale and to champion Tableau within Salesforce.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

Sales and Distribution Strategy

  • Drive distribution strategy for the Tableau global business
  • Influence (representing distribution feedback) development of Tableau product roadmap, and industry solutions
  • Jointly own long-term growth strategy (LRP)

Sales Execution

  • Directly manage resources and growth number
  • Help drive and influence deals within and outside direct area of ownership
  • Monitor the global marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
  • Partner with Salesforce Distribution Leaders to drive growth across industry verticals
  • Field activation and excellence via the following:
  • Enablement for Tableau plays (working with the enablement, sales programs and PMM teams)
  • Sales Plays and Programs across sub-industry verticals and clouds with global relevance and consistency

Alignment

  • Be a thought partner and share standard methodologies across OU’s
  • Align with Tableau priorities across Distribution, Product, CSG, A&C, Marketing and Enablement
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer in product roadmap development and prioritization
  • Drive C-suite engagement with our Enterprise customers

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $388,000 to $482,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
