Retail Shop Assistant - Health Food Store Uckfield, England
Job description
We are an independent family business with health food shops in Kent and Sussex. We pride ourselves on giving exceptional service to all our customers as well as offering qualified advice and a growing product range.
We are looking for a part-time sales assistant to join our friendly team in store.
The successful candidate will be hard working, energetic, flexible and someone who enjoys a customer-facing role and working with the public. An interest in natural health, nutrition and caring for the environment is essential.
You must have good attention to detail, be able to work with figures and be happy to work on your own in the shop. Experience in a similar environment would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Serving customers and helping with product queries and requests
- Learning about new health products and the industry as a whole
- Placing and receiving in daily orders
- Shelf replenishment (lifting & carrying required)
- Ordering goods for customers
- Answering the phone
- Using a computerised system
- Cashing up / banking
- Opening and closing the store
- Product promotion and window displays
Working hours:
Our store is open 7 days a week (including public holidays). Opening hours Mon-Sat 9:00-17:30 and Sun 11:00-16:00.
We are looking for someone who can work on a flexible shift pattern, with flexibility to be able to cover other shifts for staff absences / holidays, weekends and a fair proportion of public holidays. Additional hours may be available if required.
