Job description
SupremeTan is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team at our sunbed shop. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our valued customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our salon.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide guidance on tanning options, products, and services. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide accurate information about sunbed operation and safety guidelines.
Sales and Upselling: Promote and sell tanning packages, lotions, and additional services to customers. Utilize product knowledge to recommend suitable products that enhance the tanning experience and prolong the longevity of their tan.
Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain cleanliness and functionality of sunbeds. Perform regular inspections to ensure proper operation and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Cash Handling: Process customer payments accurately and efficiently. Maintain cash register and reconcile daily sales transactions. Follow cash handling procedures and ensure cash register security.
Hygiene and Sanitation: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and maintain a clean and tidy shop environment. Clean and sanitize sunbeds, salon equipment, and common areas regularly. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Product Inventory: Monitor and replenish tanning lotions, disinfectants, and other supplies as needed. Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of salon products.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of tanning procedures, sunbed operation, and safety guidelines is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Cash handling experience and basic math skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
