About us
Farplace Animal Rescue is a no kill rescue centre both helping animals directly and through grants to other rescue centres. We manage shops and run vegan festivals across the UK to support this.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to help our shop reach full potential and raise much needed funds for the animal rescue. We want someone who is as excited as us about charity retail, who can use their initiative as well as follow advice.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualities and experience:
-Experience in a retail environment
-Strong communication skills
-Experience with working on Excel
-Ability to work under pressure
-Confident approach towards maximising sales opportunities
-Worked with volunteers in the past (preferable but not essential)
The roll will include
-Sorting donated Clothing/ Bric-a-Brac
-Motivating and recruiting volunteers
-Promoting vegan policies
-Rotating Clothing/ Bric-a-Brac / Furniture
-Social media posts
-Working on Excel to report takings to Head Office
-Cashing up
-Pricing
-Working towards targets
-Working with Head Office management to complete tasks
-Managing and training staff and volunteers
-Lifting and carrying furniture
-Occasional lone working
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 - 22.5 per week
Salary: £10.42 per hour
