Retail Team Member, Part-Time, Plano, TX
$15/hour
GENERAL SUMMARY:
As a Retail Team Member you will be the most critical link in ensuring our guests have a rewarding experience that will keep them coming back again and again. Your primary responsibilities will include providing quality guest service to all guests and to assist them in selection of Crayola products and other merchandise souvenirs to remember their experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently meet a guest satisfaction standards, greet all guests and answer any questions
- Achieve monthly and seasonal productivity goals as set by management
- Support the Crayola brand’s educational mission to use the arts as a tool for intellectual and emotional development of children
- Merchandise and rework product in order to maintain visual presentation standards through set planograms and other guidelines
- Maintain a clean and neat work area, complete daily cleaning duties as assigned as well as any other general housekeeping needs
- Ability to identify potential safety issues and adhere to all safety standards
- Properly execute all POS procedures and follow all cash handling policies
- Utilize salesmanship and suggestive selling to maximize revenues
- Assist in receipt of new products, pricing, and replenishment of items on sales floor
- Knowledgeable on any specialty locations including the photo sales, carts, kiosks, and print on-demand center
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom, sales floor and register areas
Decision Making Capabilities
- Ability to handle minor guest concerns and involve management if necessary
- Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma Preferred.
- Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated ability to work with and understand cash registers and cash handling procedures
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Must have retail sales experience and capable of working with the public in a retail environment.
- Position requires physical duties involving regularly lifting fixture parts and cartons weighing up to 40 pounds.
