About us
The Fish People is a long standing fishmonger & delicatessen based in the southside of Glasgow. We pride ourselves on providing fresh and high quality seafood, and excellent customer service. We have a friendly atmosphere and a great existing team and we are looking for someone who is confident, polite and able to work to a fast pace during busy times.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Assisting with the set up of the shop in the morning
- Keeping the shelves and window beds stocked
- Serving customers
- Taking customer orders and dealing with phone enquiries
- Keeping the shop clean and tidy
- Assisting with closing the shop down at night.
Working hours are Wednesday and Thursday (8-4) and half day Saturday (8-1). We are also looking for someone who is flexible to cover holidays when necessary.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and motivated sales associate to join is team of retail sales associates. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in selling products at a retail level, outstanding interpersonal skills, a friendly and outgoing personality and the ability to work well on a team. Our retail sales associates are responsible for interacting with customers on a daily basis, so we want someone who has the confidence to build relationships with customers as well as being able to quickly identify when help will be necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-24 per week
Salary: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
