Job description
We are looking for a Saturday worker in Central London. The role will include selling Theatre Tickets and Tours. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in customer service. The role will be Saturdays only with the possibility of overtime or additional shifts during the week.
- To sell Theatre Tickets and Tours to a wide range of Customers.
- To provide an informative, and exciting sales pitch to customers.
- To be responsible for the successful delivery of a first-class sales and customer service.
- Operating the Box Office, selling tickets and responding to queries in person, over email and over the telephone, handling cash, debit/credit card transactions etc. and accounting for all monies taken;
- To be a point of information about the Box Office and all its activities, promoting the company to the widest possible audience.
- Ensuring the box office remains stocked with merchandise and literature to keep customers engaged.
- To be proactive in creating strategies to grow the business such as innovative partnerships, connecting with other theatres and vendors.
- Weekly reconciliation of sales and funds. The role will include keeping track of sales, and ensuring that the invoices are in order for paying by the accounts department.
Key Responsibilities:
- To deal effectively with customer problems and enquiries.
- To communicate effectively with suppliers and partners.
- To handle cash and payments. from customers.
- To be knowledgeable of the theatre’s facilities and productions.
- Reconciling invoices
- Paying Invoices.
- To carry out any other duties required by the company in pursuance of the above objectives.
- Maintenance of the shop front and displays.
Essential skills, attributes and experience:
- Previous customer service experience is essential.
- Good communicator, able to offer a consistently high standard of customer care.
- Enthusiastic team worker with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to use your initiative and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A good level of numeracy.
- Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Desirable skills, attributes, and experience:
- Experience of working in travel and tourism.
- Knowledge of third-party ticket sites.
- Knowledge of London's west end, tourism, attractions and points of interest.
