Ashes Menswear is looking to hire a full-time Retail Sales Associate to join our team! We are a family-owned business in Bournemouth. We are currently seeking a reliable, positive, and outgoing individual who is eager to learn and grow in the retail industry.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and is willing to learn about the industry. Our ideal candidate will be able to work with others to promote our store’s reputation as well as deliver first class customer service.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be comfortable working in a retail environment with regular contact with customers.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable operating basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, etc.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk up to 30% of store space, climb stairs and reach overhead racks for extended periods of time.
Duties include but are not limited to::
- Greeting customers as they enter our store or make their first purchase. Provide excellent customer service.
- Showcase products as and when you see necessary to in-store customers.
- Maintain product displays including setting up and taking down items such as display cases or baskets on a daily basis.
- Assist other associates as needed with any tasks that may be assigned by management or sales staff members .
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the store including cleaning windows throughout the day, sweeping floors once all day (if weather permits), vacuuming dust throughout the store periodically throughout the day if weather permits, sweeping floors if weather permits.)
- Ability to help a customer from selection to fully completed transactions (will involve handling money, using the till and card machine.)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
