Job description
We’re seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Retail Coordinator for Secret Location x Illuminarium’s first Canadian site in the Distillery District, set to open in late Summer 2023. The venue will host a series of immersive experiences that utilize the latest technology in the field as well as experiment with new kinds of shows. As the Retail Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail area, ensuring a smooth and successful shopping experience for our guests. You will manage inventory, supervise retail staff, and implement effective merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the retail area, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Manage a team of retail staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to maximize sales and create an attractive shopping environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, and place orders with suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to track stock movement, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
- Assist customers in finding products, answering inquiries, and providing product knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including pricing, promotions, and return/exchange processes.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute retail events, promotions, and product launches/
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the retail area, including product displays, shelves, and storage areas/
- Foster a positive and engaging work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a strong customer-centric approach.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail management is preferred.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and staff.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales techniques.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
- Passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience and a genuine interest in retail.
