Job description
Clarks has been defining retail fashion for almost 200 years. Just because our brand has an amazing history, though, doesn’t mean we’re not looking to the future. We’re writing the next chapter of Clarks right now and growing in global markets will be a bit part of it. That’s why we’re looking for a Retail Projects Executive to work in the Global Brand Environments team who can support the delivery of improvements in our stores at a global level.
The role
Reporting to the Global Brand Environments Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all when it comes to the design and development of new stores. You’ll liaise with teams across the business to make sure that new or redeveloped stores across the world meet the needs of our business–and the market in the region. From marketing to property, from retail to wholesale and franchise planning teams, you’ll tap into the expertise of our people around the world to help shape new and redeveloped stores. You’ll be responsible for scheduling and planning the workload of our store designer to make sure that the global team can deliver what is needed, where it’s needed–and track what’s being spent.
When it comes to new stores, there’s a lot to think about. You’ll have the opportunity to support the production of visual merchandising tools and the adaption of retail and wholesale assets to make sure they meet the needs of the market, while remaining consistent with the brand.
It’s a great opportunity to learn more about how retail works around the globe as you’ll work with our planning teams in the regions to gain insight into the market in that region to help shape your store design briefs. Then you’ll send the brief to the global designer, making sure it fits with our new store concept framework and agreed processes. It’s an opportunity to literally help shape the future of our business.
About you
You’ll have an understanding of retail store design and operations, as well as project planning and how to implement marketing initiatives. With experience of project coordination, ideally in a retail or marketing setting, you’ll have a track record of coordinating projects that involves different teams. When it comes to marketing, ideally, you’ll have experience of developing creative assets and working on retail store launches or pop ups, and you’ll know how the digital and print production process works.
Just as important as your experience is what you’ll bring to Clarks in terms of your attitude and behaviours. You’ll have great people skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people and you’ll thrive on working collaboratively. You’ll need to be organised with the ability to work on multiple projects, meeting deadlines and producing great work. If that sounds like you, a potentially career-defining opportunity awaits!
