We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Retail Branch Manager.
The role of the Retail Branch Manager (RBM) is a key Leadership Role within the Guernsey Branch Leadership Team. As RBM, it will be your role to lead, manage and coach the branch team towards the delivery of the branch plan. The focus of the role is to create and maintain a customer-focused retail environment which balances excellent customer service with maximising sales and income. To succeed in this role, you will enjoy building relationships with others and be conscientious and focused on exceptional standards with respect to customer care and service. Highly adaptable, you will be confident in taking responsibility and accountability for decisions, with a drive to work towards sales and service targets.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure services are being delivered in accordance with the customers’ needs and wishes
- Set targets and inspire, motivate and develop staff to deliver their best for the company and the customer
- Oversee the operational integrity of the branch (including ensuring compliance with regulations)
- Identify potential issues & provide successful solutions
- Effectively monitor and ensure the delivery of fair, needs focused, informative and suitable advice that meets customer expectations
- Help and guide others in understanding how to achieve goals
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience working in relevant context, i.e. Retail Banking or branch networks is essential
- Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Team manager or leader
- A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers
- A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
- Achieved targets and met expectations whilst supporting and coaching others to do the
- same
- Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, i.e. Full time with flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Retail banking products is desirable.
- Experience of supporting others' performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, coaching, motivation and support
- Experience of making prompt and practical business decisions, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
