Job description

As a Retail Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their purchases in a retail setting. This position requires a friendly and outgoing personality, as well as strong communication skills and a drive to exceed sales goals.

To be a successful Retail Sales Assistant, exceptional interpersonal skills, effective teamwork abilities, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction are critical. This is a challenging and fulfilling position with the possibility for advancement and growth in the retail industry.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide them with assistance
• Answer customer questions about products and services
• Assist customers in finding the products they are looking for
• Recommend products to customers based on their needs and preferences
• Process transactions at the point of sale using cash registers or other payment systems
• Handle customer complaints and provide solutions to resolve any issues
• Maintain a clean and organised store environment
• Stock shelves, racks, and displays with merchandise
• Conduct inventory checks and restock merchandise as needed
• Participate in store promotions and events

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Basic math skills for processing transactions

Job Type: Full-time
