We are looking for dynamic and energetic people to join us as shift team leaders who will be as passionate about delivering a great guest experience as we are.
You’ll be joining the Mango Portswood restaurant, one of three independently owned bar & eateries in Southampton serving delicious Thai Tapas and original, exciting cocktails.
First and foremost running great shifts on the floor and giving our guests a great experience will always be your priority. You’ll be an all-round expert when it comes to creating and delivering a great customer experience. You must have a hands on can-do attitude, working by example with a positive outlook and always look to motivate others to ensure all tasks are complete on time and that everyone plays a part in end of day cleaning and tidying, ensuring it is ready for service next day.
You will be the right hand person to our managers, responsible for the supervision of the team and ready to step up in the absence of the assistant manager.

Your duties will include:
- hosting and serving guests, championing Mango’s high standard and always ensuring an excellent level of customer service from you and the team
- knowing our drinks and food menu inside-out so that you can answer any customer and team questions and ensure they are served to spec
- helping to train & coach new starters to ensure they meet the brand standards and getting stuck in to help and support your team whenever they need it
- ensuring the venue is always clean, organised and presentable, in-line with health & safety standards
- ensuring opening and closing procedures are always met
- assisting management with any other essential duties for the best operation of the business.

Requirements for the role:
- You must have previous supervisory experience in the hospitality sector, preferably within a restaurant, but we will also consider applicants from a bar or cafe environment.
- Available a minimum of 25 hours per week, (up to 45 hours a week available), including days, evenings, weekends and the holidays, with the ability to be flexible on working days.

Salary: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
