We are on the hunt for a manager to join our team in St Andrews. We are looking for someone with amazing people skills, natural charisma and a passion for food and drink. But first of all, here is a little bit about us….
Haar Restaurant reopened in December 2021 at 1 Golf Place. This iconic location has been refurbished to a high standard which highlights the journey of Chef Dean Banks. The menu is seasonal and focuses on local produce. We aim to create a relaxed fine dining atmosphere where all our guests can enjoy our fantastic tasting menu and drinks list. The restaurant is tasting menu only and is included in the Michelin Guide & has 3 AA rosettes. Haar launched 6 boutique hotel rooms in the Summer of 2022 and gained 5 AA rating.
The team behind Haar create their own Gin & Vodka: Lunun Gin, Mond Vodka. This creates a great backbone to the Scottish focused drinks list. The company has a fantastic relationship with Charles Heidsieck champagne which we hero here at Haar.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
- To assist in the running of the restaurant with the passion as though it was your own business.
- Training of front of house team
- Controlling costs & driving sales growth
- Day to day runnings of business - open and closing of premises
- Ensuring consistently excellent customer service is delivered.
- Managing service standards and staff development.
The person we are looking for:
- Experience in a similar role.
- A strong commercial awareness
- Knowledge of drinks; including wine, spirits, cocktails
- Knowledge of food; including allergens, food safety
- Great leadership skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a social environment.
- The ability to communicate at all levels
