BAR ASSISTANT MANAGER

Full Time

29,800 per annum

48 hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering the 88 Bar & Restaurant concepts to the required five standard outlined in the procedure guidelines
  • Be able to competently set up, maintain and run the daily operation of 88 bar and restaurant
  • Inspire and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Responsible for cash and stock security
  • Attend daily briefings, ensuring you are fully aware of what is going on around Grantley Hall
  • Fitting the appearance guidelines and creating a positive atmosphere in the workplace
  • Complete all compulsory training and development provided by the GH Academy and G.A.P
  • Ensure the venue is kept clean throughout service and leave the venue clean and organised for the next shift
  • Provide clear and concise handovers to your team between shifts
  • Learn and know in detail our food and Beverage offerings, being able to passionately describe and sell this to our guests
  • Carry out the set up and breakdown of the bar and floor
  • Serving customers directly and be able to convey Grantley Hall values throughout their stay
  • Escalate any complaints that are unable to be dealt with to management and write reports when necessary
  • Work alongside the restaurant and bar team to ensure food and beverage is delivered in line with our 5 star service
  • Responsible for maintaining good employee welfare
  • Enable training and development opportunities for all team members, in line with company procedures


About You

  • The successful individual will be confident, self motivated and present a professional persona in all circumstances
  • A high level of IT proficiency. Previous use of Property Management and EPOS systems and Microsoft Office desirable
  • A high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • The ability to demonstrate a strong customer service ethos and the ability to deliver consistently high levels of service delivery
  • Utmost attention to detail when carrying out tasks
  • Previous experience in five-star hotels is desirable
  • Experience of managing a large team within the hospitality industry
  • Able to delegate and organise a team where necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • To have an in-depth knowledge of drinks and cocktails
  • Enjoy going the extra mile for guests, in providing them an enjoyable 5 star experience
