Job description

Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Back of House Manager at Emirates Stadium in London. As Back of House Manager, you will be responsible for the back of house areas. You will implement systems to support the hospitality and culinary teams and assist management with set up logistics for events. You will take full control of assets including managing the budget, analysing stock levels, and forecasting on spend.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise back of house staff to ensure adherence to safe working practices.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all back of house areas. Implement a clear and understood process for all cleaning (pre, during, and post event).
  • Carry out daily and weekly inspections.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) in adherence to company and government guidelines for all areas within the back of house.
  • Liaise with the People Team to book porters, working within the allocated budget.
  • Support recruitment and training with welcome days and other activities as required.
  • Manage the departmental equipment budget. Source all equipment and materials. Keep record of stock and equipment breakages and reorder when necessary.
  • Attend relevant tradeshows to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure that the operation is in accordance with current practice, management, and measurement of all areas of responsibility including health & safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards.

Qualifications

  • A Levels or 3+ years’ experience required.
  • Previous experience in a high volume, logistically challenging environment required.
  • Advanced IT and accounting skills with experience in purchasing systems required.
  • Knowledge and experience with manual handling required.
  • People management, training, and task delegation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Possession of forklift license is desirable.
  • Understanding of administration and knowledge of suppliers.
