Summary
The Smoothie Bar Supervisor works in a fast-paced environment supporting Body Energy Club’s iconic smoothie bar. The Smoothie Bar Supervisor provides leadership for other Smoothie Masters as a senior go-to in the store and provides support for management when the store Manager is not present or requires additional assistance. The Smoothie Bar Supervisor is expected to uphold Body Energy Club’s standards, policies, and procedures while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining an organized food safe environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and support 2-3 Smoothie Masters on any given shift (number of staff are subject to change dependent on seasonal volume and store location)
- Provide outstanding customer service experience to all individuals visiting stores
- Troubleshoot customer concerns/complaints related to smoothies or orders when necessary and/or defer to management in more serious cases. Support manager with providing feedback and suggestions for resolution
- Monitor staff behavior and provide feedback to management as necessary
- Ensure team members are effectively cleaning all equipment required to produce smoothies such as blenders, spoons, knives, machines, etc.
- Monitor smoothie/juice bar inventory shortages and notify an MOD or manager of any low stock or deficiencies
- Audit checklists daily while on shift to ensure they are completed correctly by staff members
- Train staff on updated operational policies and procedures as communicated
- Receive product deliveries and put away when necessary
- Deliver quality smoothies to customers by addressing client name, protein type, and customizations if necessary
- Assist with daily store operations such as managing till, safety and security while making smoothies
- Maintain a food safe and sanitary environment

- Uphold all company standards relating to customer service, cleanliness, and personal conduct. Expected to act as a role model and coach for other Smoothie Masters
- Ensure customer needs are met in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Ensure that Food Handler standards are met at all times
- Provide coaching and correction support as necessary related to the company Smoothie/Juice bar policy and procedure
- Assist in meeting monthly targets and encourage sales growth
Working Conditions
- Work involves daily exposure to elements such as noise, dust, variety of food products
- Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as working blenders, knives, etc.
- Position requires the ability to be on your feet for a long-extended part of your day, moving equipment or product up to 20 - 30 lbs.; reaching and kneeling daily
- Requires the ability to see, hear and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
Educational Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma
- BC Foodsafe Level 1 Certification
Other Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or food service industry OR retail experience at Body Energy Club as Smoothie Master with demonstration of job excellence and strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Adapt and learn quickly to new products/recipes as business requires
- Possess the importance of maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Must be able to work under moderate supervision and troubleshoot team’s questions/concerns
- Able to perform repetitive and fast-paced work
- Passionate about Body Energy Club products and leading a healthy lifestyle would be an asset
